Your Exit Strategy

When thinking about an exit strategy, I would most likely sell most portions of the business and remain as a board member who would help make decisions about the future of the company and step away from the daily decision making.

I would want to make sure the customer/people would stay as the number one priority while raising a profit and allowing those who are more knowledgeable about the business’s needs. They will be able to make this company a long term venture as the first project might take 3-5 years to plan and implement. Since the time frames per project are longer than starting a restaurant or designing a product, it will be important to bring in other subject matter experts.

I don’t believe this exit strategy has influenced the decision to create this company but it has affected the way the business was built. As the owner, I did not believe that my word is best, but tried to get outside perspective to put the best service and product forward to our customers. It has not influenced possible growth opportunities but hiring passionate and knowledge people is important for any company.
