Elevator Pitch No. 2


Elevator Pitch
Reflection- With my last pitch, my peer reviews liked the amount of information I had about the subject as well as the explanation of how the system would work. I thought that ending the pitch with a question would be enough but after review, realized that I needed to call the audience to action while doing so. I tweaked the ending and a few word choices here and there. I was not able to clear a better non-sitting position due to new surroundings but will see if I can maneuver this for the next round of pitches.

    Hi Orlantha!
    Great job on your pitch. I love that you switched it up at the end so that you are ending with a question. This is a great way to leave people thinking about your idea. My one suggestion for next time would be to film in front of a window or something so that you have some natural light brightening the shot. I would also say to stand up so that it seems more professional and less personal. Overall, job well done!

    Great job on your elevator pitch! I like how you improved your elevator pitch by building on your responses to the last post. Honestly- I don't have much feedback to offer, you did a great job. I understand why you were not able to stand up for this pitch, but I do think that standing would have improved it even more! Good Job.

Regulatory Changes: Trump Administration ends OSHA program protecting workers from developing Silicosis (Lung disease) Source: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2019/10/02/766028237/workers-are-falling-ill-even-dying-after-making-kitchen-countertops I read about this repeal through an NPR list of EPA rollbacks of the Trump Administration I believe there is an opportunity to offer the same regulations of the program which start with manufacturing of the engineered stone used for kitchen counter tops. Reading Reflection No. 1

For this assignment I read Miracles Happen by Mary Kay Ash 1)       As someone who has not had many interactions with Mary Kay line other than my mom bringing home Mary Kay Products when I was younger, I honestly was surprised to hear that the type of product selling had never existed before. I admired the most that this was a company based on the Golden Rule- which meant women were created equal and it was a way for them to make money outside the home.
