Halfway Reflection
Halfway Reflection:
1)
Tenacity- In order to stay up to date with
requirements in the course, I kept a planner with all due dates and set aside
the same amount of time each week to watch the lectures as well as do the
assignment. If I knew I was going out of town, or wanted a break, I worked
ahead.
2)
Tenaciousness is about attitude- This class has
opened my thought process to look at issues that were different. I felt like
giving up when I needed to interview a market segment that was interested in my
idea. Since I selected such a specific topic that has a real effect on farmers
in the Midwest, I needed to improvise who my market segment was because calling
the local state governments would be seen as “going too far” about an idea that
was not real.
3)
Three Tips-
a.
Be sure to set aside time to think about things
bigger than you- the bug list assignment will start the process of looking at
your own environment. Go with it!
b.
You get what you put into this class- If you are
truly interested in the Entrepreneurial mindset or New Product Development, you
will need to take these exercises seriously.
c.
Be organized- As a Junior or Senior
organizational skills are most important. Deadlines do not go away after
graduation, in fact you will probably have more!

I love the picture you selected! Staying organized is definitely the key to success in this class. I didn't realize how creative we would have to be in this class or how time consuming it would be. Staying on track and giving plenty of time for assignments helps. You are right about deadlines not going away. Developing organizational skills will be a tool to help anyone be more successful in life.
